McMaster University has signed a new agreement that will provide McMaster authors with immediate open access publishing capabilities in select Wiley journals.

The two-year agreement for 2023-24 will allow corresponding authors from participating Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) institutions to publish eligible articles to Wiley’s hybrid journals under an open licence with no article processing charge (APC).

The LinkedIn Learning Club @ McMaster is ringing in the new year with a motivating monthly challenge.

Throughout January, McMaster students using their free LinkedIn Learning accounts will have access to a learning calendar featuring a month of daily content geared toward improving learning habits.

The inception, performed under the authority of the Indian Act and with the support from a small—but vocal—number of community members, marked a dramatic change in governance for the community.

As the fall term comes to an end, Mills and Thode libraries will be closed for the winter break in late December.

Both libraries will close following the final examination period and will welcome back McMaster students, staff, faculty, and members of the community for the start of winter term classes.

Meanwhile, there are several online exam rooms throughout campus. 

McMaster University Libraries are changing how students, staff, and faculty log in to off-campus access when seeking journal articles, ebooks, and other licensed content.

Starting Dec. 12, off-campus access will adopt the MS Office 365 single sign-on.

Users will log in with their MacID@mcmaster.ca and password, similar to Office 365, when accessing e-resources while working off campus regardless of McMaster VPN activation.
