Mills Elevator #4 Out of Service

Mills Elevator #4 is currently out of service, a repair call has been placed. 

Sections of Thode Basement Closed

Some sections of Thode basement are closed for a collection maintenance project.  This includes study carrels, study rooms, CATS@Thode, Well-Suited Community Closet, bookstacks QH- R, S, T, Z and Reference. We have also restricted lending or borrowing from these areas.

What’s Open:
Makerspace, washrooms, water fountain, prayer space, and study area in front of Makerspace have reopened.

Why are sections closed?
A collection maintenance project is underway - we will reopen all areas as soon as the work is complete.

Mills Facade Renewal Project

  • Stage one: south side window replacement took place in spring and summer 2026. 
  • Stage two: new facade installation begins in September and will continue through the fall. 
  • Check out our FAQ page to read more about the construction work.

Alternative Options:

Limited access to compact shelving - Mills 2 and 3

If a range of compact shelving will not move please seek assistance from the first floor services desk. Staff may be able to retrieve the item for you or provide alternative access points. Mills floors 2 and 3 most effected. We apologize for the inconvenience.
