Danica Evering brings a robust resume of skills and experience to her new role as a research data management specialist at McMaster.

Launching her career at an international arts organization engaged in social practice, Evering coordinated outreach and programming for several multi-year projects in regional and international cities.

She went on to work as education officer at Humber Galleries, expanding the gallery’s education and engagement activities across programs at Humber College.

The newest LinkedIn Learning Club @ McMaster campaign is aimed at helping to prepare students for a successful fall term by covering the basics of using Microsoft’s most popular apps.

Throughout August, McMaster students using their free LinkedIn Learning accounts will have access to a collection of videos that provide insight on navigating Microsoft’s most-used software products, from Outlook to Excel.

This month’s campaign was curated by Eline Gonzalez, a fourth-year bachelor of science student and LinkedIn Learning ambassador.

H.G. Thode Library of Science and Engineering will be temporarily closed for August but will reopen in time for the start of the 2022 fall term.

The library will be closed as of Monday, Aug. 1, welcoming students back on the first day of the fall term on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

McMaster Dataverse users may notice some changes when logging in to the online data repository.

Scholars Portal Dataverse, which hosts McMaster Dataverse – McMaster’s institutional data repository – has rebranded as Borealis, the Canadian Dataverse Repository.

According to the Borealis website, the revamp reflects the repository’s growth over the past half decade from a regional service to one that includes more than 60 affiliated institutions across the country.

Five McMaster University faculty members are receiving grants to support four projects that will foster the creation and integration of free, high-quality online textbooks and other digital educational materials.

Brittany Sostar attributes their love of art and creativity to growing up in a family of makers.
