McMaster Dataverse users may notice some changes when logging in to the online data repository.

Scholars Portal Dataverse, which hosts McMaster Dataverse – McMaster’s institutional data repository – has rebranded as Borealis, the Canadian Dataverse Repository.

According to the Borealis website, the revamp reflects the repository’s growth over the past half decade from a regional service to one that includes more than 60 affiliated institutions across the country.

Apart from a new name and appearance, users can expect core services to remain the same.

LinkedIn Learning Club @ McMaster launches a new campaign for the month of June exploring the important topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) through a collection of hand-picked videos.

Canadian music legend, famed storyteller, and visual artist Tom Wilson is ensuring his work will be accessible for generations to come.

Wilson has donated his archive to the William Ready Division of Archives and Research Collections at McMaster University Library.

“I was not able to go to university, so the fact my archive is now at McMaster is pretty amazing,” said Wilson. “I sometimes joke that I made this gift because my basement is too full. It’s humbling, to be sure, to have McMaster serve as the home of my archive.”
