The university library offers students an expansive list of loanable items, including phone and laptop chargers. Grace Dobbie, library assistant with Access Services, says the library makes these items available to benefit students.

In this 2023-24 edition of the magazine, readers will gain an understanding of the impact the university library has made within the past year through captivating stories and compelling images.

The report reflects the fiscal year from May 2023 to April 2024.

Starting this September, McMaster University Library is hosting a regular study hall for queer students at Mills Memorial Library.

Queer Study Buddies is a weekly event that aims to create a welcoming, recurring meeting space in the library for 2SLGBTQ+ students who can drop in for a group study environment and socialize with fellow members of the queer community.

Vivian Lewis, who led the reopening of two campus libraries during the pandemic with a third library currently under construction, is continuing her leadership with the new title of associate vice-president and university librarian. 

Her ongoing appointment starts July 1, 2024, following approval by McMaster University’s Senate and Board of Governors on April 18.
