LRMC Services Overview
Staff at the Lloyd Reeds Map Collection (LRMC) offer research assistance with maps and other geographical resources. They consult with faculty on the development and support of class assignments and can be requested as a guest lecturer on topics of a cartographic nature.
The Map Collection hosts many class labs and tutorials in its own flexible classroom that seats up to 40 students and is equipped with projectors, SmartBoard, and magnetic whiteboards. The classroom converts to a study area with tables when not in use. Stereoscopes, planimeters and opisometers can be obtained from staff for use with maps and aerial photographs. A colour photocopier and scanner that can handle maps and documents up to 11 inches by 17 inches are available.
Members of the general public are welcome, however, some resources and services may be limited to McMaster affiliates only.
