Alice P. Goheen collection of McMaster photographs and other material. -- 1925-1932; primarily 1928-1932. -- 0.3 cm of textual records; 48 photographs.
Donation by Peter G. and Robert B. Goheen (accession 2019-023) of material originating with their parents, Alice Pearl Powers and Kenneth George Goheen, when they were students at McMaster; includes photographs of McMaster University students and student life, particularly at Wallingford House women’s residence, in Toronto; and items related to the convocations of Powers and Goheen. The material was donated to McMaster University Archives in March 2019.
F.1 Commencement. 1932. 0.1 cm. Consists of the following items received at Alice Powers’ convocation: an engraved printed announcement of Convocation for Conferring Degrees, in its envelope; a formal schedule of events; an invitation to reception to be held in Wallingford Hall, and a 1 p. memorandum of instructions to the members of the graduating classes of 1932, from the registrar.
F.2 Orders of Service. 1932. 0.1 cm. Includes two printed orders of service: Baccalaureate Service, May 15th, 1932 (2 copies), and Annual Convocation, May 16th, 1932.
F.3 Loose photographs. 1925-1928. 4 photographs : b&w ; 11.5 x 16.5 cm ; 10.5 x 6 cm. Include female residents of Wallingford Hall. Autumn, 1928; style='color:black'>McMaster University Arts Class of ’29 [taken before 1929]; the men’s basketball team with the player’s names listed on verso, 1925-1926; and a men’s sports team [most likely rugby]. Both teams include Kenneth Goheen.
