The transportation tomorrow survey is "a comprehensive travel survey conducted in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area once every five years".
The survey includes information on the number of people, vehicles, drivers, employees, students, transit passes, location of work, mode of travel, time of travel, and number and type of trips.
Survey began in 1986 with coverage for Toronto, Durham, York, Peel, Halton, and Hamilton.
Niagara, Waterloo, Guelph, Wellington, Orangeville, Barrie, Simcoe, Peterborough, and Kawartha Lakes joined the survey in 1996.
Lastly, Orillia survey coverage began in 2001 with Dufferin and Brant joining in 2006.Open data includes TTS survey data and boundary files.
