Barco ClickShare

ClickShare is a wireless meeting room system for easy video presentation. It connects your laptop or the podium PC to the video equipment in the UTS Computer Labs, so you can start your presentation in under 7 seconds with one click via the ClickShare Button or App.  

ClickShare is installed in the UTS Computer Labs in:

  • Burke Science Building (BSB) Rooms 241, 244, 249
  • John Hodgins Engineering Building (JHE) Rooms 233A, 234
  • Kenneth Taylor Hall Building (KTH) Rooms B121, B123

Barco ClickShare Overview

The Barco ClickShare connects to your laptop or the podium PC using a USB-C connection.  Simply download and install the Barco ClickShare App, connect the USB-C cable to your device, and press the button to begin presenting.  Further instructions are detailed below.

Get Started with Barco ClickShare

There are no Podium PCs in JHE 233A and 234.  You will need to bring your own USB-C laptop to use the ClickShare system in these rooms.

  • Press “Ctrl+Alt+Del” on the keyboard and enter your Mac ID and password to log in.  
  • Plug the USB-C extension from the ClickShare puck into the Podium PC.

  • Once the indicator on the ClickShare puck turns solid white, press the button to display the Podium PC screen on the projector.  The button color will change from white to red.   
  • When you are finished with your presentation, press the red button to stop displaying the Podium PC screen on the projector.

It is strongly recommended that you install the Barco ClickShare Basic app on your device before trying to connect it to the system.  

  • With the app downloaded and installed, plug the USB-C extension into your device.

  • If your device does not have a USB-C port, you cannot connect it and will need to use the Podium PC instead.
  • Once the indicator on the ClickShare puck turns solid white, press the button to display your device’s screen on the projector.  The button color will change from white to red.   
  • When you are finished with your presentation, press the red button to stop displaying the Podium PC screen on the projector.

CCT does not recommend using a mobile device to connect to the Barco ClickShare system.  To connect your mobile device to the ClickShare, you will have to join the ClickShare wireless network associated with the room on your device.  This will disconnect you from the Mac-WiFi network and you will not have internet access on your device.

You will need to install the ClickShare Mobile app on your device before trying to connect it to the system.  

Choose the Wireless network titled [room number]-ClickShare-[numbers] and enter the password “clickshare” to connect.

Open the ClickShare app and select the meeting room from the list.

Enter the 4-digit passcode which will appear on the projector screen.  

Tap the white circle icon, and then press the “Start Broadcast” button to display your mobile device’s screen on the projector.

Tap the red circle icon in the ClickShare app, and then choose "Stop Broadcast" once you are done displaying.
