Pay Roll Book #1, 1896-1905.
Book has number #1 and “W.M. Co. Ltd.” (Westinghouse Manufacturing Company Limited) on the spine. It lists the name of each employee, his position, his daily and weekly wage. The first list of November 5, 1896 gives 44 employees. Only 2/3 of the book has been used. Large format (37 x 42 cm) green cloth binding with red leather spine and corners.

Journal A, 1896. (1897-1903) Book has the above designation and “W.M. Co. Ltd.” on the spine. The first page is headed “Hamilton, Ontario, Feb. 10 1897” and a note indicates that the earliest entries were made to close up the accounts of Paul J. Myler and to open the accounts of Westinghouse Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Accounts list purchases and sales, including those to Westinghouse Air Brake Co. Entries made only up to p.138 of 196 pp. Large format (30 x 46 cm) cloth binding with red leather corners.

Much of the volume is taken up with accounts of annual meetings and picnics and there are menus, programs and photographs of banquets and picnics pasted in.
