Bound manuscript about John Bartholomew Gough (1817-1886) by R.B. Robertson. The manuscript opens with a note written in August 1853 regarding Gough's visit to Britain. It contains transcripts of Gough's speeches, some taken from newspapers but others not sourced, an extract from Gough's autobiography, and two b&w photographs, presumably of Gough. The manuscript concludes with Roberston's "Remarks", written in Glasgow, December 1893.
