Letter from Gerda Busoni to Dayas's daughter Karin. Berlin, June 30, 1929. In German. 2.5 pp. Recalling the first performance in Berlin on November l0, 1904 of Busoni's piano concerto [opus 39], which was to have been dedicated to W.H. Dayas. Because Dayas died before having a chance to see the work, Busoni published it without a dedication. Busoni's widow is collecting her husband's letters and wonders if Karin has the letters the composer had sent to her father; "he loved him infinitely".

Lecture given by W.H. Dayas: "an evening...of Liszt...". 11 pp., 32 x 20.5 cm (browned, brittle and chipped; creased and some leaves broken at central fold). Written in sepia ink with pencilled corrections.

Cabinet card photograph, ca. 1881-83, by A. Doederlein of Berlin, 16.5 x 10.5 cm. Dayas is shown standing with two unidentified young men holding sheets of music, probably fellow students.
Certificate of Marriage of W.H. Dayas to Margarethe Vocke, June 26, 1891, Parish of Peterborough, County of Northampton, England. 1 p., 12 x 31 cm (creased at fold). With an manuscript note on verso recording the birth of their daughter Karin in Helsinki.
Transcriptions of obituary notices published after Dayas's death, including a lengthy one by Arthur Johnstone published in the Musical Times of August l, 1903, with appreciations by Carl Fuchs, Ferrucio Busoni and Lady Halle. 12 pp.
