St. Paul's Anglican Church (Jarvis, Ont.) fonds. -- 1862-2002. -- 35 cm of textual records.
The parish at Jarvis dates from 1846, when Rev. Francis Evans began his ministry. At that time, services were held at the residence of John Jones. St. Paul's Church was constructed and opened on 25 December 1858. A new church was built in 1897 and opened for services on 9 January 1898. Debt-free, the new church was consecrated on 24 September 1909.
The fonds consists of parish registers containing statistical records, services, Vestry and Women's Auxiliary minutes, cemetery and financial accounts. The registers include some statistical records for the Mission of Walpole, and parishes in Hagersville, Nanticoke, and Cheapside, Ont. See the finding aid for further details. The fonds has been microfilmed on 5 reels, numbered 26-27, 29, 37 and 386.

Historical Notes
Parish Register A of St. Paul's, Jarvis is a register for the Mission of Walpole. It contains material for the points of Jarvis, Hagersville, Nanticoke, and Cheapside (as well as Sandusk and Woodhouse). For this reason it appears in the indexes for all of those places although often, the place of the baptism, burial, etc. within the Mission is not given. From June 7 1868-June 1880, the place of baptism is listed. From Aug. 1863-Aug. 1882 the place of burial is given.
Parish Register B of St. Paul's, Jarvis is a register for the parish of Jarvis and Hagersville. The same is the case for Parish Register C of Hagersville.
Parish Register D of St. Paul's, Jarvis includes Nanticoke, Hagersville, Cheapside (Woodhouse, Renton) material.
Parish Register B of Hagersville includes St. John's, Cheapside, and some burials in St. Paul's, Jarvis churchyard.
Parish Register D of Hagersville includes Jarvis and Nanticoke.
