St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church (Elora, Ont.) fonds. -- 1846-2004.
The construction of St. John's was begun in 1839 and finished in 1842 with consecration following in 1848 on land donated by the Reynolds family. The church was modelled on the Reynolds family church at Aber, in Wales.
The fonds consists of parish registers containing statistical records, Vestry minutes, and two drawings by architect, Henry Langley.
Title based on content of fonds.
Fonds on deposit. Ownership of the fonds resides with St. John the Evangelist Church.
Further accruals are expected.
