St. Elizabeth's Anglican Church
St. Elizabeth's Anglican Church (Burlington, Ont.) fonds. – 1960-2001. – 8 cm of textual records.
In March of 1960 a group of interested Anglican families met in the Elizabeth Gardens Survey of east Burlington. A Church school was organized and began to meet in Elizabeth Gardens Public School. A survey was begun to determine the number of Anglican families in this area.
On June 12 of 1960 worship services were held in the above school. Property was then purchased and Charles Lenz, architect, was chosen to draw plans for a new Parish Hall. Sherwood Construction was to be the General Contractor. The dedication of this new hall was held on January 25, 1962 by Bishop Walter Bagnall.
Fonds consists of parish records containing statistical records and Vestry books. Fonds has been microfilmed on one reel, numbered 421.
Title based on content of fonds.
Fonds on deposit. Ownership of the fonds resides with St Elizabeths's Church.
Finding aid available in hard copy and electronically.
Researchers are requested to use the microfilms. They must also sign an agreement of use form.
Further accruals are expected.
