Christ Church Anglican Church (McNab, Ont.) fonds. -- 1849-1999. -- 22 cm of textual records.
A mission was opened at the Eight Mile Creek Brick School House in Grantham, Ont. in 1847 by Rev. J.F. Lundy. In 1853 construction began on a church. It opened for services on 25 December 1853. The church underwent major repairs in 1895. Grantham, Ont. was renamed McNab, Ont. in 1908.
The fonds consists of parish registers containing statistical records and Vestry minutes; also correspondence and other documents. Most of the fonds has been filmed on 3 reels of microfilm, numbered 168, 201, 325. Researchers should also consult the St. George's Church (Homer, Ont.) fonds.
Title based on content of fonds.
Fonds on deposit. Ownership of the fonds resides with Christ Church.
Finding aid available in hard copy and electronically.
Researchers are requested to use the microfilm. They must also sign an agreement of use form.
Further accruals are expected.
