"Your connection is not private" : Warning message when searching library catalogue
The web browser warning message states that the user's connection is not private/ is unsafe.
The University Library is receiving reports from library patrons that a warning message sometimes appears when they search the library's catalogue, either Discovery or Catalogue. The web browser warning message states that the user's connection is not private/is unsafe.
The reason is due to an incorrect security certificate. The University Library is aware of the problem and is working with the catalogue vendor to solve the issue.
In order to continue searching, the University Library recommends that you select Advanced on the web browser's warning message screen and click Continue. We understand the warning message is alarming.
The University Library is working to correct the issue as quickly as possible.
