“Vital Frames” A Graphic Healthcare Display (October to December)

Explore the powerful intersection of art, healing, and healthcare with our graphic healthcare display. This display will feature a captivating collection of graphic novels that discuss transformative stories in abortion, infertility, and transgender health. These graphic memoirs share individuals’ experiences as they navigate their complex health conditions and the system that is meant to support them. Display runs from October 24 to December 22, 2023.

Location: Health Sciences Library, near Service Desk 

Transformative Stories: Year of Gender and Justice is presented by McMaster University Library in collaboration with campus and community partners and will feature a lineup of free, public programming from fall 2023 through summer 2024. The series is part of McMaster University Library’s biannual “Year of” celebrations, which are aimed at highlighting the library’s unique collections, resources, and expertise and emphasizing its vital role in supporting the research, teaching, and learning mission of the university.
