Join us for a relaxed, social workshop where you can connect with fellow textile enthusiasts, build your skills, and learn the basics of sewing machine use. Whether you’re brand new to sewing, looking for a refresher, or hoping to connect with the campus textiles community, this is a great place to get started.
We’ll cover the fundamentals of using a sewing machine and can help you get connected with the Makerspace’s full training program so you can become certified and use the equipment for your own projects. No experience needed! Just bring your curiosity and creativity. Machines are limited, so participants may need to take turns. We hope to see you there!
Sign up to volunteer, share your textile skills, and help create a welcoming community.
'Sew Good Together' programming is a collaboration between Thode Makerspace and Zero Waste McMaster.
