Transport yourself back in time!
This event invites you to enjoy a unique sensory experience: perusing the pages of ancient tomes in an oak-paneled reading room illuminated by soft candlelight and enlivened by period music specially curated for the occasion.
The evening will feature authentic rare books, produced from the Middle Ages and Renaissance through to the mid-1700s, from McMaster’s legendary collection of historically significant texts.
The volumes on display will encompass an eclectic and scintillating range of topics — magic and the occult, ancient runes, early science, map-making, body modification, and much more — accompanied by a soundtrack of original music composed between the thirteenth and seventeenth century.
Featuring an introduction and live commentary by Brother Myron (Frater M∴G∴), the Keeper of the Tomes. Experience Archives and Research Collections as you never have before!
