October 30, 2025 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Presented by our friends at ReproducibiliTea, join us for an article club roundtable October 30 from 11 AM - 12 PM on Open Science Challenges from the perspectives of researcher, administrator, and librarians.
This event will bring together researchers (faculty, graduate, and undergraduate) with staff (administrators and librarians) to discuss some of the challenges of open science. We'll unpack what needs to be in place to make it happen: infrastructure to culture change to training and more.
Building on ReproducibiliTea's history as an article club, we'll be reading Madelin Burt-D’Agnillo and Mindy Thuna's 2024 article "Open Science at the University of Toronto: An Exploration of Researcher, Administrator, and Librarian Perspectives." Read the article ahead of time or just join for the discussion!
We'll be joined by Madelin Burt-D’Agnillo and Mindy Thuna alongside McMaster researchers and administrators: Dr. Ryan Heyden (Lecturer and Research Coordinator in the Department of History and Senior Advisor in the Research Office for Administration, Development, and Support).
