Actions
Where possible, we will implement changes to existing local catalogue records and new catalogue records that we create at McMaster.
We will continue working with our partners in the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL), who make up our Omni partners, and other groups to advocate for more respectful descriptive policies and practices in cataloguing and classification to be applied to catalogue information originating outside McMaster.
This work is an iterative process, and we will add to this list as steps are taken.
We welcome your thoughts and input on this work and encourage you to reach out to us if you have questions, concerns, or encounter harmful language in Omni.
