Fresh off the heels of a successful campaign exploring diversity, equity and inclusion, the team behind the LinkedIn Learning Club @ McMaster is launching a new campaign on leadership development.
Throughout July, McMaster students will have access to a free collection of videos on topics from inclusive leadership and building relationships, to communicating with influence and leading change.
This month’s campaign was crafted by Eline Gonzalez, a fourth-year bachelor of science student and LinkedIn Learning ambassador.
“As a student myself, I know how easy it can be for young people to assume leadership skills only matter to a select few people in corporate positions,” said Gonzalez. “By creating this collection, I hope students will see that the skills that make a good leader — such as strong communication and relationship building — are equally important in the corporate world as they are in their academic and personal life.”
Jeannie An, McMaster LinkedIn Learning campus coordinator and Ron Joyce Centre research services librarian, added: “These are skills that students will take with them throughout all stages of life and will be able to apply in a variety of settings and careers.”
To access this month’s LinkedIn Learning Club content, McMaster students can click the LinkedIn Learning Club banner on their LinkedIn Learning homepage, or search for the title in the search bar. Alternately, users can find the content at this LinkedIn Learning link.
McMaster staff and faculty are reminded they also have free, unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning for personal, professional, and instructional purposes. To learn more about McMaster LinkedIn Learning, visit the website for LinkedIn Learning.
