Contains reports, databases and digital maps for northeastern Africa (covering Burundi, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Rwanda and Uganda). A digital coverage is available for each country individually, as well as a coverage containing all ten countries for the whole area (Soil and Terrain Data Map of East Africa = SEA)
There are 523 variables in the database, organized in three groups:
- General soil and terrain information
- General data for the three most important soils, and two inclusions
- Soil profile Information for the three dominant soils
Most of the data are stored as qualitative data, where the classes describe the different class captions or where classes represent ranges of quantitative data.
