From eighteenth century journals to sexuality surveys: Primary source collections for research and teaching

AM Explorer allows McMaster users to search across all of the primary source databases from Adam Matthew (AM). Join Dr. Laura Blomvall from the Engagement Team at AM to discover digitised archival material available at McMaster for research and teaching, from early modern women’s writing, eighteenth-century journals and Victorian films to modernist poetry and lifestyle magazines. We will also explore sexuality surveys and communist film reels to missionary papers and colonial correspondence. This session will be an opportunity to hear more about the behind-the-scenes of publishers working with archives to digitise special collections, and to discover case studies of instructors using archival sources in their assignments to inspire student research. There will be a Q&A (20-30 minutes) at the end for further discussion.
