This interactive data visualization tool extracts estimates from the Agriculture Taxation Data Program (ATDP) at the national and provincial levels for the years 2015 to the current.

The tool presents estimates on farm operating revenues, farm operating expenses, net operating income and number of farms. Information is broken down by reference year, geography, farm type, revenue class, estimate type, and estimate category.

Users can use the different variables to compare or analyze the components of farm operating revenues and expenses over time, geography, farm type, and revenue class.

The data contained in this interactive dashboard comes from the Estimates of the components of international migration, by age and gender, annual. These estimates are based on 2021 Census counts adjusted for census net undercoverage and incompletely enumerated reserves and settlements, to which are added data from the demographic growth estimates for the period from May 11, 2021, to the date of the estimate. The data presented cover the period from 1971 to the most recent year.

Please note that the table Estimates of the components of international migration, by age and gender, annual includes estimates for age -1, whereas this notion is absent in this dashboard. Age -1 represents people born after July 1 of a given period and not included in the estimate of 0-year-olds. For simplification purposes, estimates for age -1 have been included in the estimates for age 0 in this dashboard.

The components of demographic growth are illustrated based on their contribution to the population size to facilitate their interpretation.

This dashboard is designed to visualize the components of international migration by age and gender at the provincial, territorial and Canadian levels.

The 2016 Census of Population collects data for the total population of Canada. As the amount of data gathered increases, data visualizations have been introduced to help people, business owners, academics, and management at all levels, understand key information derived from the data. Data visualizations can be used to quickly communicate a message, to simplify the presentation of large amounts of data, to see data patterns and relationships, and to monitor changes in variables over time.

Besides the provincial and national estimates, the data presented in this dashboard has been developed using Small Area Estimation (SAE) methodology to increase the level of geographical detail available from the Labour Force Survey (LFS). This interactive tool can be used to explore small area estimates of employment, unemployment rate and employment rate by Census Metropolitan Areas (CMA), Census Agglomerations (CA) and Self-contained Labour Areas (SLA). The geographical areas are defined using the 2021 Standard Geographical Classification.

Data presented in this interactive dashboard are based on the Rural Canada Trade Profiles (RCTP) derived from the Trade by Exporter Characteristics (TEC) - Goods and Trade by Importer Characteristics (TIC) - Goods program. This visualization tool provides insights on the characteristics of goods-exporters and goods-importers by geography (Canada, province or territories [grouped]), location (rural and small town area and functional urban area) and industry. For more information on data sources, definitions, and methods refer to the RCTP Metadata and user guide.

In October 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) launched the CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) digital initiative. Data on the TIC - Goods program for reference year 2024 will remain unavailable for this data visualization until further notice as Statistics Canada assesses the impact of CARM on this program. Data on the TEC – Goods program for reference year 2024 are still available.

The Wholesale Services Price Index (WSPI) and the Retail Services Price Index (RSPI) represent respectively the change overtime in the price of the wholesale and the retail services. The price of the wholesale or the retail service is defined as the margin price, which is the difference between the average purchase price and the average selling price of a product. The retail or wholesale gross margin represents the vendor’s expense and profit for the service of selling a product. WSPI and RSPI are not selling price indexes.

The reference year of the indexes (i.e. the period where each series equals 100) is 2013.

With each release, data for the previous quarter may have been revised. The series are also subject to an annual revision with the release of second quarter data of the following reference year. The indexes are not seasonally adjusted. Data are available at the Canada level only.

Due to revisions, the displayed percentage change values from past quarters could vary from those in The Daily texts. The values displayed in this interactive tool are the most up-to-date.
