(Sep 12/12) the internet is very slow and the connection keeps on resetting! How can students do research and assignments like this!?
Library response: We hear you, but ultimately the slow network is a campus IT (i.e.- UTS) issue, not one the Library can control. It's an annual cycle, it seems, at many universities, not just McMaster: at the beginning of the semester, network bandwidth usage increases exponentially over its summer lows, and any weak spots that have developed in the meantime are exposed and become critical very quickly.
This strikes everyone, of course, students, staff, faculty, visitors, etc. We share your pain. (Sep 12/12)
