(Mar 23/12) It is appreciated that Thode stays open 24 hours during the final exam. But there is only 2 days difference between last class and the 1st exam. So I think it would be helpful if Thode 24 hours starts 1-2 week before the last day of class. In that way people having exams at the beginning can have enough time to study. Also during Midterm period there are very few places to study. People are always very loud in Mills Learning commons and the student center has very few spots and also not quite. So it would be helpful as well if Thode stays 24 hours during midterm weeks.

Library response: Thanks for taking the time to send in your suggestion. Late Night studying at Thode begins on Thursday April 5th, with exams starting on the following Saturday. Thode Library will stay open 24/7 from 8am on April 5th until April 25th at 10pm. We recognize that the Mills Learning Commons can be loud most of the time, but we do try to encourage students to keep it quieter during the exam period. The Learning Commons is open 24/5 all term. I do hear your comment about midterms as well, but this time period varies quite a bit between the many programs on campus, so it would not be possible to arrange scheduled extended study hours.Good luck on your exams.
