Legal Instruments collection. 1337-1825. 83 items.
This collection consists of legal instruments, including deeds, charters,
instruments of sasine, obligations, letters patent, wills, probate certificates,
and manorial court proceedings. They are mostly handwritten, with the
exception of two printed forms with details filled out by hand. Most
documents are made of parchment, but some of the later items are made
of paper. The arrangement is geographic Britain, France and North
America.
