Elsie J. Corrigan was a Canadian student who wrote an M.A. thesis, titled "Naomi Mitchison's Treatment of the Historical Novel." She died in the late 1970s, probably 1979.

Naomi Mitchison, writer and playwright, was born on 1 November 1897 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was educated at St. Anne's College, Oxford. Her early writings were primarily historical novels, beginning with The Conquest in 1923. Mitchison has also been active politically, supporting the Labour Party. She published an autobiography, Mucking Around: Five Continents over Fifty Years, in 1981.

The collection consists of 3 poems written by Corrigan, a photograph of Mitchinson, Mitchison's letter to Corrigan, and Corrigan's thesis.

Title is based on content of collection.
Collection was donated by National Archives of Canada in September 1979. The National Archives was given the collection in the summer of 1979 by Corrigan's laywer, John D. Honsberger of Toronto, Ontario from Corrigan's estate.
