Historical Notes
According to the Church History (q.v.) the first services in the area were held at a private home circa 1842-44. Shortly after 1844 a frame church was erected on the site of the present church, two miles north of Campbellville, with Rev. George Graham officiating until his death in 1853. From 1853 the church was served by clergymen from other parishes until 1870 when Rev. Thomas Hall took joint charge of Lowville and Nassagaweya. The stone church was opened in 1871, from which year these records also date.
Because of the close inter-relation between the churches in this area, the researcher is advised to examine also the records of: St. Luke, Burlington; Grace Church, Milton; St. George, Lowville and Grace Church, Waterdown.
