McMaster University Libraries are hiring students for a wide range of roles for the 2026-27 academic year.
Positions are available in areas from Lyons and Makerspace to Research Collections and Maps. The opportunities are now posted on Mosaic through McMaster’s Student Work Program.
These roles allow students to gain practical experience while supporting the McMaster community.
“Student employees bring valuable perspectives and energy to our libraries,” said Ann Pearce, manager of Innis Library, who co-ordinates student recruitment. “These roles allow students to develop transferable skills, connect with people across campus, and help create welcoming spaces for their peers.”
The following student positions are now available:
- Content, Access, and Open Licensing student assistant
- Digitization student assistant
- GIS student assistant
- Health Sciences Library student assistants
- Innis Access Services student assistant
- Learning Resource Management student assistant
- Library Accessibility Services student assistant
- Library Peer Leaders
- Lyons New Media Centre multimedia student assistant
- Maps student assistant
- MarkIt! student assistant (Not part of the Student Work Program)
- Mills Access Services student assistant
- Research Data Management student assistant
- Research Information Systems student assistant
- Thode Access Services student assistant
- Thode Makerspace student assistant
