Data Horror Stories (Research Roundtable)

Whether you've experienced your own data management accidents or simply want to learn from the experiences of others, join us October 29 from 11 AM - 12 PM for a roundtable session on Data Horror Stories. Lining up nicely with both Halloween and Cyber Security Awareness Month, researchers and support staff across McMaster will share campfire stories of their biggest data management disasters and the lessons they learned. 
 
From ghostly (missing!) documentation to unexpected backup failures, you'll get a chance to learn about common challenges as experts recount these spooky tales spanning the research lifecycle. Researchers, graduate students, support staff, and undergrads will all benefit from these recounts, as we discuss practical strategies and strong data management practices to improve your research data management skills.
