(Mar 13/08) Allowing food in the libraries was a terrible decision. Its distracting and disappointing that one of the few quiet places to work is becoming a cafeteria.

Library response: Thank you very much for your suggestion. We appreciate your comment and in fact spend a lot of time thinking about how to deal with issues such as food in the libraries. As you can see in this suggestion, it is difficult to come up with a solution that pleases everyone. We encourage library visitors to be respectful of others, disposing of garbage responsibly and keeping eating noises to a minimum. We've also made other efforts such as creating 'Silent Study' areas in the libraries where we ask that people do not eat any food (or use laptops or cell phones). These silent study areas are located in Mills (rooms L113, L118, L302, L307), Innis (Silent Study Room) and Thode (3rd floor).Feel free to share with us any ideas you have about issues such as food. We're always trying to improve. (Mar 14/08)
