Library Accessibility Services creates accessible copies of print course material for students with disabilities. We would love to work with you to provide these resources for your students. Some of the things that you can do to decrease the turnaround time are:
- submit textbook adoption requests ASAP - this is the single most important thing - early textbook adoption allows us time to work on the text prior to school starting
- choose texts from major publishers or those you know will provide accessible copies
- texts from small publishers in other countries tend to be problematic
- when posting material to Avenue please ensure the scans are very high quality - screenreaders have difficulty with images that have been photocopied and then scanned
