Includes over 200 engineering reference sources, with the latest editions of Marks Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers, Perry's Chemical Engineers Handbook, Standard Handbook for Electrical Engineers, Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain, and many more.
Includes all Active and Historical standards from the 80+ volume Annual Book of ASTM Standards. Content is updated as standards are released. The Engineering Digital Library provides access to Standard Technical Papers and Symposia papers, e-books, manuals, 8 journals, and a terminology dictionary.
McMaster's subscription does not include standards from other bodies - e.g., UOP - which may be referenced but are not immediately available online.
Contains citations, abstracts and some full-text to more than 5,000 engineering journals, conferences and reports. Subject coverage includes chemical and process engineering, computers and data processing, applied physics, electronics and communications as well as civil and mechanical engineering.
The Library's subscription to CSA On Demand includes the following areas: construction and engineering; electrical; energy; environmental; health and safety; mechanical and industrial equipment; quality and business management systems. We do not have access to the Information Technology and Telecommunication standards. The platform provides read-only access to the fulltext, and .pdfs can be downloaded on campus for offline reading.
The Digital Library (DL) provides searchable online access to the various journals, books, and other collections published by The Electrochemical Society.
A gateway to several scientific, applied science, technical and engineering-related databases, collections, and services, chiefly Compendex and Inspec. Updated weekly.
Provides access to the latest handbooks in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering, published by CRC Press and Routledge. Includes charts, figures, illustrations and data.
Scientific and technical content published by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and its publishing partners. Includes journals, conference proceedings, and standards, along with e-books from the SAE and Wiley.
Over 300 e-books published by the IET (Institute of Engineering Technology) on general electrical engineering topics, power system management, control systems, radar, and more. All titles are also listed in the library catalogue.
Inspec is a bibliographic database that indexes world-wide literature on physics, astronomy/astrophysics, electronics, electrical engineering, control theory and technology, computers and computing, information technology, manufacturing and production engineering and materials science. The types of literature indexed and abstracted include journal articles, conference proceedings, books, reports and dissertations. The database is available from 1969 onwards and is updated weekly.
Contains over 50 million articles from over 23,000 full text journals covering many disciplines.
Scopus provides broad indexing and citation coverage of academic journals, books and conference proceedings published worldwide. Delivering a comprehensive overview ofresearch output in the fields of science, engineering, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.
The most extensive database available on optics and photonics research, with more than 375,000 papers spanning biomedicine, communications, sensors, defense and security, manufacturing, electronics, energy, and imaging. Our subscription includes conference proceedings from 1962 onwards, full-text for 10 journals, and some 200 e-books.
Some Proceedings volumes are not available online, either because they were not published, or because SPIE does not have the electronic rights.
