In 2005 the Toronto Community Health Profiles Partnership launched this website with the purpose of making detailed, area-level health data available to everyone. We provide health profiles of Toronto communities for Toronto communities, with relevant and timely information.

Data-sharing partners include government, public health professionals, community health providers and researchers.

This site complements other health information sites (Health Quality Ontario, Statistics Canada Health Indicators, Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, Toronto Public Health) and neighbourhood data (City of Toronto) sites with small area community health data not otherwise available.

The neighbourhood profiles were developed to help government and community agencies with their local planning, by providing socio-economic data at a meaningful geographic area. The boundaries of these social planning neighbourhoods do not change over time, allowing researchers to perform longitudinal studies see the changes in each area. Not all people define neighbourhoods the same way, but for the purposes of statistical reporting, these neighbourhoods were defined based on Statistics Canada census tracts.

This site presents all the available distributional findings on happiness in nations. Each separate findings is presented on a 'page' that contains information about 1) the survey study, 2) the question on happiness used in that study, 3) the distribution of responses to that question, and 4) the publication in which these results were reported. Means and standard-deviations are also reported in a separate 'overview' per nation, in which the findings are sorted by type of survey question on happiness and within these measurement types by year. This allows an easy view on changes in happiness over time.
