The primary goal of this website is to facilitate comparative research on elections in Europe. The database publishes regional election results according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS), level 1 to 3.

The data sets available at this website make it possible to compare and contrast election results across countries and regions and conduct comparisons over time. As most of the data sets are aggregated to correspond with the EUs NUTS definition, it facilitates studies that incorporate additional statistical measures as demography, labour market, etc.

Data are collected from national election authorities, national statistical agencies and other official sources.

Global Barometer Surveys (GBS) is the first comprehensive effort to measure, at a mass level, the current social, political, and economic atmosphere around the world.

This project represents the largest, most careful and systematic comparative survey of attitudes and values toward politics, power, reform, democracy and citizens' political actions in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Arabic region. It is based on a common module of questions contained in regional barometer surveys;  for additional regional-specific questions, see the original surveys at www.afrobarometer.org, www.arabbarometer.org, www.asianbarometer.org and www.latinobarometro.org.

The ISSP is a cross-national collaboration programme conducting annual surveys on diverse topics relevant to social sciences.

The Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS) is a household survey program housed within the Surveys & Methods Unit of the World Bank's Development Research Group that provides technical assistance to national statistical offices (NSOs) in the design and implementation of multi-topic household surveys. Since its inception in the early 1980s, the LSMS program has worked with dozens of statistics offices around the world: generating high-quality data, incorporating innovative technologies and improved survey methodologies, and building technical capacity. The LSMS team also provides technical support across the World Bank in the design and implementation of household surveys and in the measurement and monitoring of poverty.
