PRRI’s research explores and illuminates America’s changing cultural, religious, and political landscape. PRRI’s mission is to help journalists, scholars, pundits, thought leaders, clergy, and the general public better understand debates on public policy issues, and the important cultural and religious dynamics shaping American society and politics.

All PRRI public opinion research is based on probability sampling to ensure that results are broadly representative of the population of interest. All PRRI studies include bilingual (English and Spanish) interviewing. Telephone studies are conducted by professional interviewers and include a high proportion of cell phone interviewing. PRRI provides public access to the raw data files of its surveys after an embargo period of one year.

In 2016, the Québec government and the municipalities of Gatineau, Laval, Montreal, Quebec City, and Sherbrooke joined forces to create the new Data Québec open data portal. Several other municipalities then followed suit, and thanks to this collaboration, several hundred datasets are now available. The site contains digital data distributed in a structured way according to a particular method, with an open license guaranteeing their free access and reuse.

The Section on Statistics in Sports (SIS) was founded during the 1992 Joint Statistical Meetings, filling a need to foster the development of statistics and its applications in sports. The mission of SIS has been to stimulate statistical research with an application to sports, promoting publications devoted to statistical theory and methodology and their application to statistics in sports, and to increase the availability of information concerning the science of statistics and its contribution to sports. WorldPublicOpinion.org is an international collaborative project whose aim is to give voice to public opinion around the world on international issues. WorldPublicOpinion.org seeks to reveal the values and views of publics in specific nations around the world as well as global patterns of world public opinion.

The WorldPublicOpinion.org website provides information and analysis about public opinion on international policy issues from around the world. While the studies of the WorldPublicOpinion.org network figure prominently, the website draws together data from a wide variety of sources from around the world. We have found that data from all reliable sources are important contributions and that as more studies are integrated into analyses, world public opinion comes into increasing focus.
