Significant electrical work required by the construction of the Wilson building has made it necessary for Mills Library to shut down for two days during the Reading Week period, Tuesday February 18th and Wednesday February 19th. 


Extended Hours During Exams

We know that there are never enough hours to get those last minute facts and figures into your head. To help with this, the Mills Learning Commons and all of Thode Library will be open 24/7 from December 2 to December 20, 2011.

All three libraries (Mills, Innis and Thode) will run their normal extended hours for the three weeks during the exam time period, which includes opening @ 8am Saturday's and Sunday's and staying open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday's.

The Library has good news for students!  Starting September 13th, the Mills Learning Commons is open 24 hours a day during the week from Sunday through Thursday.  On Fridays and Saturdays, it will remain open until 2am.  As usual, once the exam period begins in early December, the hours will shift to 24/7.

The move has been made in response to student requests for more late night study space and means that the Library is open an astounding 51 extra hours a week!  That's almost an addition of two days worth of studying time.

Student art installation celebrates “discovery"

Students in the Mills Learning Commons have not just one, but three stunning pieces of their cohorts’ art work to inspire them as they study, work in groups or just hang out. The Library has recently installed “Beneath the Tree”, a painting by Level IV Honours Art student Tricia Jagt, the winning submission in an art competition sponsored by the Library and organized in partnership with the School of the Arts (SOTA).
