(Apr 2/13) I always dread walking into Thode because of the smokers that seem to congregate right by the entrance (usually right in front of the sign telling them to stand at least 9m away). Can there be some more enforcement of this rule? To top it off, sometimes if people use the automatic door opener the lovely smell of second hand smoke wafts in towards the study section at the far curved wall since the door stays open longer.
Library response: We couldn't agree more..it is awful to have to walk through a cloud of smoke when entering or exiting any building. There is an official NO SMOKING WITHIN 9 METRES OF THE ENTRANCE posted. We will do our best to monitor the situation and talk to offenders, but would ask everyone else's assistance with this as well.
