(Nov 21/07) Hello! I just wanted to let you guys know that the music or whatever you call it, before the announcement is so distracting. It almost gave me a heart attack. My friend screamed! Please change it!
Library response: We're sorry we scared you. We've been using music for many years as a way to gently encourage people to leave the building as closing time approaches (usually 5 or 10 minutes before the building is officially closed). I'd encourage you to make some suggestions as to what songs you'd like to hear. We're always looking for new songs to add to the roster! Thanks for your suggestion and sorry again for scaring you and your friend. (Nov 22/07)
