Along with other Ontario universities, the Library will be participating in the MINES survey, designed to measure the impact of networked electronic services.

This 5-question survey collects demographic information about users of electronic resources, as well as information about the purpose of the research.

Users will be asked to complete a survey during 1 in every 250 requests to access an e-resource through our Get It! @ Mac links. The survey will run from February 16, 2010 thruogh February 2011, and is completely anonymous.

We appreciate your participation in this survey, which will help us assess how e-resources are being used across the province.

If you have concerns or questions about your rights as a participant or about the way the study is conducted, please contact the
McMaster Research Ethics Secretariat, c/o Office of Research Services, Telephone:  (905) 525-9140 ext. 23142, Email:  ethicsoffice@mcmaster.ca.

For general questions about the survey, please contact Janice Adlington, Electronic Resources Librarian, or Kathy Ball, Director, Assessment and Accountability, University Library.
