GIS Courses from ESRI Virtual Campus

Recorded Live Training Sessions and Instructional Series Podcasts are free, and you can access for them yourself from these links.

There are also a large number of online courses available, on specific software and applications.

McMaster University, through our site license for ESRI products, can provide free access to many of the GIS courses offered through the ESRI Virtual Campus.

How to Sign Up for a Course from the ESRI Virtual Campus

• Select a course from the list of courses available. These courses are free to McMaster affiliates - you do not have to pay the price listed on the ESRI webpages.

• Contact McMaster's Subscription Representative to request an Access Code for the course(s):

• In your request, please include:

  • the name of the course(s) for which you wish to register

  • your McMaster ID number

  • your McMaster email address

• You will receive a return email with the Access Code for the course(s) you have selected. Please allow one working day to receive your code(s).

• You may work through these courses at your own pace. The Course Access Code will expire one year from the date of registration.

• If you do not have access to the necessary software at home, you may work through these courses using the software installed on any of the computers located within the Map Collection as well as those located in the hallway just outside.
