- Census subdivision (CSD) "is the general term applying to muncipalities
(as determined by provincial legislation) or their equivalent (for example,
Indian reserves, Indian settlements and unorganized territories)".

There is a 1991 census subdivision boundary file for each individual
province. Example shown is for Ontario; separate files are also available
for other provinces. (Ontario example =1236 polygons).
