Library Liaison @ Mac will contribute to the academic mission of McMaster University by strengthening the Library as a campus partner in teaching, learning and research.
From July 1, 2007 to April 30, 2008, liaisons and faculty representatives will work collaboratively on the following priorities. |

- invite liaison to departmental meetings & events
- advise liaison on the needs of your department
- be an advocate for the library

| Partnering to Teach 21st Century Fluencies |
- teach classes & seminars on information fluency, visual literacy, numeracy, media literacy
- offer information literacy support (be "embedded" in a course; offer advise on effective library assignments)
- contribute library information to program reviews and new program proposals
- advise on e-reserves

- notify liaison of plans for new programs or areas of specialization
- notify liaison of upcoming undergraduate or graduate program reviews
- notify liaison of new faculty hires, new courses, etc.

| Managing Access to Scholarly Literature |
- coordinate a monograph acquisitions strategy with Faculty Representative & Acquistions Librarian
- update current vendor profiles
- update current collection development policy with the Library Rep
- create a basic subject guide to library resources for the department
- promote new and unique library collections & resources
