Library Services for Retirees
As a McMaster retiree, you are entitled to a variety of library services.
Retired Faculty:
- you may borrow materials from our collections, for 3 months
- Your McMaster ID card is your Library card! Present your card with the items you wish to check out at the Library Services Desk or at one of our self check-outs. If you can't find your card or need it replaced you will need to go to UTS, BSB-245, M-F, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
- Please return books to the library from which you checked them out.
- All books can be renewed (unless they have been recalled) on the My Account/Book Renewal page OR in person. You are allowed a maximum of 6 online renewals per item.
- For more information on specific borrowing policies, please consult the Borrowing materials page
- you may request materials not owned by the McMaster libraries through Interlibrary Loan, through RACER
- you may access electronic resources licensed for use by the McMaster community, using your MacID
- you may continue to participate in the Reciprocal Borrowing Program
- you can set up a general public PrintSmart account so that you can print or copy from the public devices in our libraries
