Thank you for your patience while we continue to improve your library space!
Construction crews are back in Mills today to begin work on the next phase of the Learning Commons project. This phase will focus on the Reference Area on the 2nd floor. The work will be done in sections beginning in the back area (near the Government Publications stacks) and moving around the corner in front of the Research Help Desk.
Where are the computers?
Some computers from this area have been temporarily moved down to the Music Area on the 1st floor.
New furniture will be installed in the Mills Learning Commons on Thursday, November 23. There will be no service at the Learning Commons Help Desk during the installation.
Please go to the MAIN Help Desk (2nd floor) for Research & IT Help.
The workers will be as quiet as they can be, but there will be some noise during installation.
We apologize for the inconvenience & disruption. Thanks for your understanding,
The Mills Learning Commons Team
Due to construction delays, the Library will NOT be able to open the McLay portion of the Learning Commons for "After Hours" studying during the exam period as originally proposed. [We'd hoped to be able to keep this large space open until 2:00 am - 2 hours after the rest of the building closed. Entrance and exit would be through the Tower Entrance on the east side of the building.] Mills and Thode will still be offering Extended Hours during the exam period, beginning December 2.
Watch this space for information about After-Hours studying during the April exam period.
