It is that time of the year when students have their noses in books, eyes are red and bleary from studying and stress levels are peaking. To help relieve a bit of the stress of exams, the McMaster library is hosting a few events for the students
De-Stress Zones (Lyons New Media Centre and Innis Library)
The 2nd Annual 24 hour film festival, hosted by the Lyons New Media Centre in Mills Library was a big success. Many teams participated and were successful in submitting their film within the 24 hour period. Now it's time to view the films and see who wins!!
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION !!! The 2nd Annual McMaster 24 Hour Film Festival: Are You Ready to Put Your Creativity to the Test??
The Lyons New Media Centre is calling all aspiring filmmakers and creative minds to come out and participate in the ultimate test of video production skill: Can you make a 5 minute, award winning short video in under 24 hours while incorporating three key elements?
R.E.S.P.E.C.T (in the Library)
Aretha Franklin sang about it...Rodney Dangerfield complained he never got any. Respect is a simple thing that our parents taught us, but sometimes is forgotten about in day to day life.
Did you know that we showcase student, staff and faculty images in the Lyons New Media Centre on the fourth floor of Mills Library? When we're not showcasing materials for a specific event, they (change to we) display artwork, photos, videos and more on our large, nine-screen video wall.
Needing a break from studying? Want to relax? Visit the DE Stress zones at either the Innis Library or the Lyons New Media Centre classroom. We have puzzles, board games, magazines, books, and cookies (while quantities last).
As the program develops we will be adding more things and coming up with more ideas to help you unwind. If you have suggestions, please feel free to let us know!
