Library Cards
Library cards allow patrons to borrow books from any McMaster Library. Consult the table to determine how to aquire one.
Note: Library cards do not provide access to the Library's e-Resources. A separate account (i.e., MAC ID, LibAccess or Guest Internet Account) must be created. Access restrictions apply to Graduates of McMaster and Non-McMaster Borrowers.

| IAHS Students | Require a currently valid McMaster student ID card |
| Visiting faculty/staff/researchers | In the Faculty of Health Sciences: Go to the Health Sciences Library with a letter of introduction from the department in order to obtain a library card. All Others: If you do not have a McMaster photo ID card, go to Mills Library with a letter of introduction from the department in order to obtain a library card. |

| Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation employees | Take your photo ID with employee number to the Health Sciences Library to obtain a barcode. |
| Faculty and students from Redeemer University College | Obtain application form for External Borrower Card from Library at Redeemer University College. |
| Faculty, students and staff from other universities (Includes retired faculty) | To borrow through Interlibrary Loan Services, inquire at your library's Interlending / Interlibrary Loan Department. To borrow in person: apply for a Reciprocal Borrower Card at the Mills Library Circulation Desk. Current university ID card and proof of address required. |
