OMIM is a comprehensive, authoritative, and timely compendium of human genes and genetic phenotypes. The full-text, referenced overviews in OMIM contain information on all known mendelian disorders and over 12,000 genes. OMIM focuses on the relationship between phenotype and genotype. It is updated daily, and the entries contain copious links to other genetics resources.

The NASA Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Program's mission is to collect, archive, and disseminate NASA aerospace information, and locate domestic and international STI pertinent to NASA's missions and Strategic Enterprises.Examples of NASA's STI include research reports, journal articles, conference and meeting papers, technical videos, mission-related operational documents, and preliminary data. NASA's technical information is available via the NASA Technical Report Server (NTRS) to provide students, educators, and the public access to NASA's technical literature. NASA citations and full-text documents found on NTRS are unli mited, unclassified, and publicly available.NTRS also collects scientific and technical information from sites external to NASA to broaden the scope of information available to users. NTRS's Simple Search searches for NASA information only and its Advanced Search can search for NASA and non-NASA information.Most of the NASA information does not have full-text document images and documents can be ordered by contacting the NASA Center for AeroSpace Information.

GEOBIB indexes international literature on all aspects of geography. It includes references to books, articles, atlases, maps, pamphlets and other publications under both topical and regional subjects. Updated in part by Current Geographical Publications. Bibliography covering the period up to 1976 is available in paper format as the Research Catalogue of the American Geographical Society (MILLS Bookstacks ZG 58.A5).

As of December 2005 The American Geographical Society has ceased adding new content to GEOBIB, but the database will remain available indefinitely.

The site indexes and provides access to over 1.6 million electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) freely available from over 800 institutions worldwide. ProQuest Dissertations & Theses A&I
Coverage:1639 to the present

Indexes over 2 million doctoral dissertations and master's theses completed at accredited North American and selected European colleges and universities. Dissertations published from 1980 forward include 350 word abstracts written by the author. Master's theses published from 1988 forward include 150 word abstracts. Includes full-text access to many McMaster theses (send an email to request one). For other institutions, 24 page previews are available. In most cases, this will be graduate works published since 1997.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) has launched SciTech Connect, a new portal to free, publicly available DOE research and development (R&D) results. SciTech Connect incorporates the contents of two of the most popular core DOE collections:  OSTI's Information Bridge, and Energy Citations databases.
 

Documents are primarily from 1994 forward and were produced by DOE, the DOE contractor community, and/or DOE grantees.  Includes citations and documents relevant to environmental sciences, energy technologies, engineering, computer and information science, renewable energy, and other topics of interest related to DOE's mission

The SPIE Digital Library is the most extensive database available on optics and photonics research, with more than 375,000 papers spanning biomedicine, communications, sensors, defense and security, manufacturing, electronics, energy, and imaging.  Our subscription includes conference proceedings from 1962 onwards, fulltext for ten journals, and some 200 e-books.

Some Proceedings volumes are not available online, either because they were not published, or because SPIE does not have the electronic rights.

TRAIL: Technical report archive and image library

This site is a collaborate project that seeks to digitize, archive, and provide persistent and unrestricted access to federal technical reports issued prior to 1975. Currently it contains the following report series: NBS Monograph Series. Major contributions to the technical literature on various subjects related to the National Bureau of Standards and published between 1959 and 1982. These detailed reports include materials data, mathematical functions, time series, diffraction patterns, measurements, standards, methods and much more. Most of the data provided is from direct measurements.
